Sport'n The Hawk

Blake and I drove to Emmett for there Youth Appreciation Day at the park. They had five huge bouncy houses, Fire Trucks, a Helicopter and Blakes favorite.. a bubble blowing station!

Blake loved the helicopter! He didn't get to see much of the inside because they were just loading things up to take off, but we waited in the field for them to leave. Blake and I sat there for about 40 minutes until they started the helicopter. The engine was so loud!! Blake was scared for a minute but when they were up in the air Blake started waving good bye, jumping up and down, clapping his hands and pointed to the helicopter saying.. SEE!... SEE! MOMMY, YAY!! It was a blast.

The Fire Fighters brought all there trucks and equipment. They had the ladder extended fully out and was spraying everyone with the fire hose. Blake and I opt out on getting soaked but it was fun to watch. They handed out fire hats and sticker to the kids and let them explore inside the trucks to see how they worked. Blake wasn't to interested in anything else but driving the Fire Truck.

For Blakes second birthday, I think I'm going to set up a bubble station like this. He loved it!

SCRIPTURE POWER

Liven On The Edge

I was at work and Jordan text me these pictures ..

.. Blake has pictures tomorrow so he surprised me by cutting Blakes hair

I was a little surprised, but I think it turned out nice : )

He might look mad, but this is the face he makes when saying

" C-H-E-E-S-E !! "

I scream, You Scream, We all Scream for ICE CREAM!!

Today Boise reached a high of 69 degrees !! Blake and I both knew we couldn't pass up this nice weather so we went on a bike ride. On our way home we saw an ... Ice Cream Truck !! : ) Blake was so intrigued & a little confused by the loud children's music coming from this strange looking van, but it all didn't matter after he got his Icy Pop

Judo

Jordan and some friends from work signed up for Judo classes and are now part of the " Emmet Judo Club " They practice twice a week in this rickety old Club house in Emmet that's own by Sensei a world class Judo fighter. They first started by learning different feet movements, escape techniques, and rolls. Now they're working on different ways to throw your components or tripping them. Jordan and his friends decided to stay after class and Sensei taught them how to choke your components til nearly making them pass out. Of course Jordan thought that was pretty fun. Sensei was showing a choke move on Jordan & after class he said his hands were hard as stone from doing Judo for so many years. -- Sick ! --- They have a fun wrestling around, as you can tell from the picture's, Jordan takes great pride kicking his Lil brothers trash !

Easter 2008

Easter 2008

Easter was wonderful! Sunday morning we did the whole Easter baskets, Sunday dress photos, and of course.. went to church : ) Jordan teaches the CTR 5 class in Sunday school so he planned a little Easter party for his kids (All the more brownie points for Brother Harris!! ) After church we went over to Grandma & Grandpa Mickelsens house for our traditional Egg Hunt. I was excited for this Easter thinking Blake would want to participate in the egg hunt, but not this year ~ He casually mozied around the yard, jumped on the trampoline for a few minutes, walked around some more and decided to go inside. I was in the other room when I heard my family yelling for me "Jess, Blake's sick! Blake's sick! " I ran into the kitchen to find a pile of throw up on the floor & Blake hunched over with a pale green face. Needless to say we spent the next three days with a sick boy. We really did enjoy Easter even though we had some extra clean up to do.
The aftermath of too much Candy on Easter!!

Best Buds

When There's Silence... There's a Mess!!

Is it just Blake or is it common for kids to love painting their face in diaper rash cream? This isn't the first time nor the worst paint job he's done sadly. Diaper rash cream, shortening, & Mom's makeup seem to be his favorite

Blake at The Little Gym

For the last month Blake's been enrolled at The Little Gym & he absolutely loves it! They work on different hand & eye coordination and motor development skills every week. Blake's not excited about learning to tumble or walk in a straight line, but he loves playing with the other kids. I think we've counted up to 4 girlfriends he's made in the class so far.. What can we say- He gets it from his dad : )
